Trina Looking To Add Some Jamaican Flavor On New Disc
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Trina Official Website) Kingston: 'Diamond Princess' Trina, who will be honored as an "International Friend of Reggae" at the 2011 Excellence in Music and Entertainment (EME) Awards in Kingston, Jamaica on March 12, 2011 is looking to add some Jamaican flavor on her 6th studio album which drops later this summer.

"Yes, I am working on a new song currently that I'm looking to get a reggae/dancehall artist on as we speak. More details will come soon, hopefully prior to my visit" she noted.

"I love Lady Saw, Gyptian, Movado, Sean Paul, Buju Banton and Sean Kingston. I am a fan of island music period. I love these artist for many different reasons, as well as, their talent and energy they give with the music they release" she said.

It was just a few weeks ago that Trina got the news that she would be honored in Jamaica.

"My first reaction was exactly these words...Really! No really!" she exclaimed. "I just kept saying that to my publicist. She laughed but I was really in shock and very happy for the honor and admiration. I am really excited and very grateful for this honor."

This is not Trina's first visit to the reggae capital of the world, as she delivered a phenomenal performance, that was "full of energy and excitement" at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay a few years ago. She is hoping to replicate that excitement when she hits the stage at the EME Awards at Devon House in Kingston on March 12.

"My fans can expect a very tantalizing show that is full of fun and energy at the EME Awards this year!" she said.

Since being introduced to the hip hop world in 1998 by Trick Daddy on the hit anthem "NANN," Trina has maintained a vibrant threat of a successful business woman with over a decade of success. With such an experienced career, Trina continues to deliver a diverse spectrum of lyrical keen and talent while remaining a force of beauty and strength for women of today, tomorrow, and the future. Her growth as a female lyricist has been consistent as she seeks to take her career to the next level.

For 2011, she plans to expand her brand beyond the musical talent that the world is familiar with. She plans to pursue an acting career, as well as embark on a multitude of business endeavors.

"My whole career has been a journey filled with obstacles, growth, passion, pain and success," Trina expresses. "I am happy to continue to evolve and allow the world to see this same evolution as a business woman, an entrepreneur and just as a woman who can make accomplishments or mistakes just as any other human being.

The EME Awards is sponsored by Energy Beat Ltd, CVM TV, Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB), Zojak Worldwide, HOT 102 FM, Starlight Productions, www.IMAGESnewsletter.com, Grafton Music and Entertainment Konnections.
