New Dark Rock-doc Poised To Be New Rock- Doc Definitive Reflection Of Today's Rock/Punk Music Scene
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Living The American Nightmare) "Living the American Nightmare" is a new rock documentary by director PawL BaZiLe. LTAN, which is expected to be released in Spring of this year, is an exploration of the cost to working-class people who live the rock star lifestyle and of the pitfalls to achieving fame without a payday.

"Living the American Nightmare" is based on a book titled "King of an Empire to the Shoes of a Misfit: The Memoirs of Myke Hideous," the former lead vocalist of the legendary horror-punk rock band, The Misfits. In 1998, visual artist and singer, Myke Hideous was asked to tour as lead vocalist for the legendary punk band, The Misfits. Before the dream could take flight, and after only two quick tours, Myke was abruptly dismissed from the band. LTAN chronicles the aftermath, rebuilding and rediscovery of what it is to live the life of an artist in America. Hideous, an innovative and creative visual artist and singer, also founded and fronted bands The Empire Hydeous, The Bronx Casket Co., and SpySociety99.

The film takes us through a sobering journey, which explores the harsh realities of artists who struggle with personal roadblocks, disillusionment, and poverty, while trying to maintain a creative balance.

LTAN's primary focus surrounds the career of Myke Hideous, and also features the last known filmed interview with the late, and much controversial, singer Peter Steele (Type O Negative, Carnivore, Fallout), as well as interviews with Bill Ward (Black Sabbath), Bobby Steele (Misfits, The Undead), Steve Zing (Danzig, Samhain, Mourning Noise, the UnDead, Son of Sam), legendary punk journalist/author, Legs McNeil ("Please Kill Me: The Uncensored Oral History of Punk" with Gillian McCain) and many more.

According to PawL BaZiLe, "Living the American Nightmare" is poised to become a classic because it's earmarked to be the definitive film which looks into the lives of unsigned musicians trying to make a living in the highly competitive, and often unglamourous, cut throat music industry.

PawL BaZiLe and Myke Hideous are available for interviews. Contact Publicist/Tour Coordinator, Katherine Smith (see below) to schedule the interviews with PawL and/or Myke.
