Spoken Word Poet & Grand Slam Champion Gill Sotu Takes 'Elephant Heart' Digital
New York, NY(Top40 Charts/ CiXi Digital Records) San Diego spoken word poet and former Ventura County Grand Slam Champion Gill Sotu is releasing his debut record worldwide today. Until now, "Elephant Heart" has only been available at live performances, but now his poetry will be available to all. March 8th marks the official date of its digital release by CiXi Digital Records.

Although first released in 2008, "Elephant Heart" has not been available digitally until now. Nominated for five Mavric Independent Music Awards, including Song of the Year, Acoustic Song of the Year, Hip Hop Album of the Year, Song of the Year for Comedy, and Best Mixing of a Full Length CD, Gill Sotu provides a fresh new approach to poetry and music. He stands as a leading force of spoken word music in Southern California as host and creator of one of the most prominent weekly open-mics in San Diego, "Train of Thought".

"In the middle of listening to 1500 songs that were submitted I popped in the CD from Gill Sotu and I was automatically hooked in! Before I knew it I had listed to the CD 3 or 4 complete times because I had enjoyed it so much. I can't remember another artist that happened with. Gill's CD soon made it onto my iPod and into my 'favorites' playlist." - Doc Rogers, Founder of the MAVRIC Music Awards.

Full streaming of "Elephant Heart" can be heard at https://www.cixidigitalrecords.com/elephantheart.
