Daft Punk Remixer Para One At Scala On April 9, 2011
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ thePlayground.co.uk) London dance music promoters The Playground wave the French electro flag with a new event at Scala featuring Daft Punk remixer Para One plus Autokratz, Paul Chambers, South Central, Teenage Bad Girl, Acid Washed, Arveene & Misk and 34 other acts on Saturday 9th April 2011

With the success of their last show at Scala featuring Gary Numan live, The Playground have been asked to return to the legendary London venue with a new electronic music event. This time a line up featuring some of the finest French flavoured electro is highlighted with exclusive sets from some of the hottest producers, remixers and live acts in dance music including the return of Para One.

A true pioneer, Para One was one of the first to inject glitches and digital artifacts into hip-hop production. Having invented a new kind of rap with French hip-hop phenomenon TTC, he then dreamed up 'Epiphanie', an insanely complex debut solo effort which originated the French electro sound that stormed the world in recent years. Next to come was the quietly beautiful surprise of 'Naissance Des Pieuvres', soundtrack to the critically acclaimed Cannes-selected movie 'Water Lilies' directed by Celine Sciamma. His remix of Daft Punk's 'Primetime of Your Life' has become a dance classic alongside other reworks for Boys Noize, Datarock and Ayumi Hamasaki. He's recently completed a new album of leftfield and danceable pop tracks to be released this year some which will be revealed during his set for The Playground.

Headlining room two which is hosted by Arcade Pony & Gash Digital are Arveene & Misk, a Dublin duo creating some of the biggest waves in underground dance music right now. Over the past years they've clocked up nearly 30 genre-busting remixes for the likes of The Prodigy, Mr.Oizo, Felix Da Housecat, Kitsune, Zombie Nation, Ed Banger, Gung Ho!, Turbo, Bang Gang among others. Added to the line up are Teenage Bad Girl who make their London debut after supporting Pendulum and The Prodigy and considered the next big crossover dance act with influences from Aphex Twin, Vitallic and The Stooges. AutoKratz return to The Playground to perform tracks from their forthcoming album, and South Central perform in support of their new single 'The Day I Die' which was recently remixed by The Prodigy.

Other acts on the bill for this special event include Paul Chambers, Acid Washed, Neo Tokyo, You Love Her Coz She's Dead, Tronik Youth, Punx Soundcheck, Dpplgngers, Pete Carvell, Coin Operated Boy, Stuff Ya Disco vs Tomas Dubeyes and Krucy Darkstar among many others.

Doors open at 9pm. Tickets are on sale now via thePlayground.co.uk. The full line up can be found on https://www.theplayground.co.uk/event. For all media enquiries and interview requests for all artists, please contact [email protected], [email protected] or call 0207 683 1223.
