Allison Crowe is ever grateful for the tremendous fan support and the international community that shares music, recommendations and appreciation of singer-songwriters - at home, in concert, and online.

When makers of Hollywood movie "Sucker Punch" were looking for ideas on how to reinvent the Eurythmics' classic "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)", they called on Allison Crowe. For the 2011 feature film from director Zack Snyder, actress Emily Browning performs the song as an opening production number.

Director Snyder, a major fan of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Crowe, talks to ArtistDirect about "Sucker Punch" on opening week:

"Music is a huge part of the movie for me. It's like another personality of the film. If you get that right, you add this dimension to the movie that you couldn't have imagined before. Right now, I've been trying to find a really good cover of 'Battle Hymn of the Republic.' I can't find one that I really like with all five verses, so that's a problem [Laughs]. I was going to call someone up like Allison Crowe and be like, 'Can you record a version of this?' That's how my brain works!"

Allison Crowe's stripped-down take on "Sweet Dreams" is currently on her own website Music Page and on YouTube (the globe's premiere video-viewing destination, where Crowe's wholly-independent videos have been enjoyed more than ten million times).

In April 2011, Allison Crowe resumes touring with a series of concert dates in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.
