Jeunesses Musicales Canada To Present A Series Of Exciting Musical And Educational Events Featuring Acclaimed Trombone Quintet I Tromboni
Vancouver, BC (Top40 Charts/ Jeunesses Musicales Official Website) Jeunesses Musicales Canada (JMC) will present a series of exciting musical and educational events featuring the acclaimed trombone quintet I Tromboni, as well as performances by dynamic young performers of works by Canadian composers Michael Conway Baker, Jordan Nobles and Marjan Mozetich.

The events are as follows:

Wednesday, April 20 2:30-3:30 - Educational presentation with I Tromboni at Lord Byng High School.
4:30-6:30 - Masterclass with I Tromboni in Gessler Hall, UBC Music Building, 6361 Memorial Rd.

Thursday, April 21 2:30 - FREE public concert at the Canadian Music Centre (837 Davie Street). 8:00 - Gala Concert at West Point Grey United Church (4595 W. 8th Ave.) featuring I Tromboni and Vancouver performers Jeff Pelletier, flute; Janna Sailor, violin; Sarah Kwok, viola; and Stefan Hintersteininger, cello; presenting works by Canadian composers Michael Conway Baker, Jordan Nobles and Marjan Mozetich. $10 students advance tickets; $15/$20 at the door.

These events are made possible by "Youth Take Charge," a program under the auspices of Montreal-based Jeunesses Musicales Canada to put youth in charge of producing and performing concerts of their own creative inspiration in their communities. This initiative is made possible by a Heritage Canada grant that awarded 15 communities across Canada the opportunity to present these concerts, providing acclaimed artists I Tromboni as mentors and performers.
