LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Noel Gallagher apparently turned down Simon Cowell's offer of becoming a judge on the X Factor! According to The Sun, the former Oasis star was approached to replace Simon Cowell on the show and was told to 'name his price'. Despite being offered 1 million for the role, Gallagher told Cowell that he was not interested in cash at the moment and that it was his "duty" to stop his brother, Liam's, band, Beady Eye, from "stinking up the bottom of the charts." A source later revealed that Gallagher was offered to literally name his price to become a judge on the show. "Noel could name his price," explains the source, "Simon promised global fame and a crack at the US panel in future years. He was setting it up for him to make the show his own and fill his boots." Noel Gallagher is recording his first solo album since his band Oasis split up. It is rumoured to feature many artists including Miles Kane. Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue are yet to be confirmed as returning judges and it is still unclear if Simon will continue to work on both the UK show and the US version.
