Stephen King Still Listens Metallica & Anthrax To Black Sabbath
NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) Horror author Stephen King admits that he still listens to heavy metal! He enjoys listening to bands like METALLICA while working on stories and novels, according to a new interview. Asked what he prefers putting on while working, King said, "METALLICA, ANTHRAX, I still listen to those guys.
There's a band called the LIVING THINGS that I like a lot. Very loud group.
I never cared for Ozzy very much... (BLACK SABBATH) don't really work for me."

King famously tapped AC/DC to assemble "Who Made Who", the 1986 soundtrack album to the film version of his novel "Maximum Overdrive".
The literary mastermind recently told The Atlantic Monthly that he listens to a whopping two of the 'Big Four' when writing. While most metalheads might consider King's statement to border on blasphemy, we can't fault him too much for not loving Ozzy, simply because the man still listens to Metallica and Anthrax. We'd say it's a fair trade-off!
