Both bands set the stage ablaze at Coachella this past week. SPIN praised YACHT's set as "arty, electro-punk heaven," and Brooklyn Vegan declared "YACHT is on fire!" The LA Times caught Yelle's set of "discotheque anthems," reporting that they whipped the crowd into "some sort of frenzy," and Billboard commended
Yelle for having one of Saturday's "stellar afternoon sets."

After the success their last album, See Mystery Lights, which was praised everywhere from Pitchfork to NPR to the New York Times, YACHT have stepped up their game even further. They will release Shangri-La,their new full-length for DFA Records,on June 21st. It's the duo's most thematically ambitious work to date; the kaleidoscope of genres they manifest on it ranges from disco to psychedelia to krautrock to punk, culminating in pure pop.
