LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ John Scott G Music) What if Keith Richards, Ronnie Spector, and
Pink Floyd were all rolled into one smart, funny, female rocker? The Paula Franceschi Band will perform a selection of their "Original Vintage" songs on Friday, May 13th, at 9:00 p.m. at TRiP Lounge in
Santa Monica.
"My roots are showing," laughs Paula. "You can see who I loved growing up!" Citing The Meters, The Stones, Otis Redding, and The Shirelles as influences, she declares, "I never tried to copy anybody, but people tell me my songs evoke those days."
Currently the band is in the studio, tracking a full-length album to follow up on the success of last year's EP release, "Songs for Singles." The TRiP appearance will be their first outing since early in the year. "It's so easy to get mesmerized by the recording process," the singer/guitarist says. "It's important to pump your energy up onstage, and then take that excitement back to the studio, so it ends up on the final tracks."
Copies of 'Songs for Singles' will be available at TRiP. Plus, they are free to any member of the media or the music, film and television industries.
