New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Julie Feeney, the Irish star and prodigious singer, conductor, performer, educator and radio host, will celebrate the release of her stunning new album 'pages' (out May 31 on mittens) with a special performance at Joe's Pub in New York on June 1. Feeney will be joined by a small orchestra of strings, singers, recorders, sticks, piano and trumpet.
Feeney's music, melding elements of Laurie Anderson, David Bowie, June Tabor and Philip Glass, is complemented by an ethereal stage show that features outrageous fashion and unconventional instrumentation arranged by Feeney. The highly distinguished Feeney has been called "charming, urbane and dreamy" by the NY Times, "The Emerald Isle's Original" by the Washington Post and "an eccentric pop genius" by Hot Press.

For the dreamlike 'pages,' Feeney conducted strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion from the Irish Chamber Orchestra, then sang over the music she had composed and recorded - all in one six-hour session. Aside from her virtuosic musical abilities, Feeney is also an accomplished educator (with master's degrees in Psychoanalysis, Sonology, and Music and Media Technologies) and will host the 26-part Irish radio series "High Fidelity: A Century of Song" on RTE Lyric FM beginning May 16.
