New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cullis Entertainment) Just turned 16-year-old guitar and vocal prodigy from Charlotte, North Carolina will play with his band "Halden Vang" at the Neighborhood Theatre on May 15th and the Sylvia Theater in York, SC., on June 4th. Jake Haldenwang, the leader of the high powered trio has been scorching the South East U.S., for the past several years and is now on tour along with the "Jared Stamey Band" and the Joe Davis Band. The "J3" Guitar Maggeddon Tour" is a collection of blistering, smoking hot guitar talent, joining forces for this concert series. Jake, a contemporary guitarist, singer and songwriter, is setting the music world on fire fusing a blend of blues, funk and rock and for an original sound that can only be described as intense, soulful and fiery. His performances are nothing short of electrifying and he is a true rising star in today's music industry. At age 13, Jake was chosen to represent North Carolina at the 2009 International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, Tennessee. Jake has performed shows with some of music's top artists at major music venues, to include; Warren Haynes Christmas Jam, Pleasure Island Seafood Blues & Jazz Fest and the Sarasota Blues Fest. Jake and his Band Ensemble has shared Show Billing with; Warren Haynes, Greg Allman, Drivin N' Cryin, Steve Miller, Leon Russell, Elvin Bishop, Moreland & Arbuckle, Tommy Castro and Trombone Shorty. Additionally, he has appeared as a Guest Guitarist with Marshall Tucker, Buddy Guy, Umphrey's McGee, Walter Trout, Tommy Castro, Drivin N' Cryin, Robin Rogers, Bryan Lee, WSNB, Mississippi Morris, Dave Fields, Mac Arnold and has opened for Webb Wilder and Tom Hambridge, in Nashville TN. Jake also has 13 original written songs to his credit, to include; "Tell The Truth", written in collaboration with Producer, "Gary Vincent", of Morgan Freeman's, "Ground Zero Music Company". "Tell The Truth" became the title track of Jake's first studio CD, self produced, completed and released in 2010.
Principle players of the "J3" Guitar Maggeddon line-up, also include the "Joe Davis Band" and "Jared Stamey Band". Joe Davis is an accomplished musician as a two time Charlotte Music Award Winner (Best Rock Band 2007 / Best Male Vocalist 2008) He has appeared three times in Guitar World Magazine and Guitar Legends Magazine. Joe recently recorded "The Skydog Woody Project" CD, using the late, legendary Duane Allman's long lost No 1 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop (The first time the guitar has returned to the studio, since recording the legendary "Layla and Other Love Songs" album with Eric Clapton. Joe has performed live with Carmine Appice Vanilla Fudge, Jeff Beck, Blue Murder, Beck Bogert & Appice, Black Sabbath, Rod Stewart, Warren Haynes, and many others. Jared Stamey is also a very accomplished musician and at the top of his class at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. Jared is also a Charlotte Music Award winner for Best Instrumentalist 2009 and he has played one on one with Steve Vai. Jared appears in the guitar documentary, "Turn It Up" starring and hosted by Kevin Bacon. Other guitarists featured in "Turn It Up" with Jared are: B.B.
