Atlanta, GA (Top40 Charts/ Camp Jam PR) Camp Jam, the nation's premier provider of rock music summer camps and educational rock 'n' roll music programs, today announced that it is gearing up for the Summer 2011 camp series. Campers, referred to as Jammers, will rehearse, record, and perform like rock stars during curriculum-based day camp and its popular overnight camp programs. Famous musicians from some of America's favorite rock 'n' roll bands will lend their talents to the camps. "For 7 years, Camp Jam has been enriching young lives through rock 'n' roll music," said Jeff Carlisi, lead guitarist for .38 Special and Camp Jam co-founder. "I started Camp Jam with the idea that everyone needed to experience the rush of playing in a band. There's no better feeling than rocking-out onstage in a band with your friends, and in front of a real, live audience. At Camp Jam you can make that dream come true." In addition to learning from a staff of caring, professional instructors, Jammers will be treated to master classes and one-on-one interaction with Jeff Carlisi and other rock legends including Derek St. Holmes, vocalist and guitarist for Ted Nugent; Liberty DeVitto, drummer for Billy Joel; Jennifer Batten, guitarist for Michael Jackson; and Richard Fortus, guitarist for Guns n Roses. Guitarists, bass players, keyboard players, drummers, vocalists and aspiring audio and video techs unleash their inner rock star at Camp Jam. Programs are available for ages 7 to 17 with varying skill levels. The summer music camps will be held in June, July and August 2011 in 17 cities across the country including its newest camp in Nashville, Tennessee.
