NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) Interscope Records sets the stage for the release of KILLER LOVE, the eagerly anticipated debut album from The
Pussycat Dolls lead singer turned solo recording artist
Nicole Scherzinger, as her first US single "
Right There" (featuring 50 Cent) is available digitally on May 17th, in advance of the album release this summer.
Global superstar Nicole set international singles charts on fire with her last two UK releases, "Poison" and "Don't Hold Your Breath," both of which will be included on KILLER LOVE. "Don't Hold Your Breath," became Nicole's first record to debut at the No 1 spot on the UK National Chart, and also hit No 1 on both the Combined Singles Chart and Digital Download Chart. "Poison," rose to No 2 on iTunes and No 3 on the UK National Chart. "Poison" was written by Nicole and the Grammy Award winner RedOne, who also produced the lion's share of the album tracks.
Nicole and 50 Cent are scheduled to make their network debut of the Jim Jonsin produced track "Right There," May 19th on American Idol. Nicole and 50 Cent shot the video for "Right There" with famed Emmy nominated director Paul Hunter. Check out the video for "Right There" at https://vevo.ly/m2l7Aq.
After emerging on Interscope/A&M in 2005, The Pussycat Dolls became the world's most successful girl group of the decade. Their track record of multi-platinum albums and top-charting singles includes the worldwide 9 million-selling PCD (2005, with "Don't Cha," "Stickwitu," and "Buttons"); and Doll Domination (2008, with "When I Grow Up," "I Hate This Part," and the Oscar and Grammy Award-winning "Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)" from the movie Slumdog Millionaire). The Pussycat Dolls have won two Billboard Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, and toured with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and The Black Eyed Peas.
Now on her own, the past two years have been a whirlwind for singer-songwriter-dancer-actor Nicole, culminating in "The X-Factor" host position. Nicole took home the Mirrorball Trophy victory as the tenth season winner of ABC-TV's top-rated Dancing With The Stars. She has also been featured as a guest on the CBS hit comedy series, How I Met Your Mother. The show's star Neil Patrick Harris went on to cast Nicole as Maureen in his direction of the Tony Award-winning rock musical Rent, alongside Wayne Brady and Vanessa Hudgens, staged at the Hollywood Bowl in August 2010.
