(Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) One of the world's leading charitable organizations - Compassion International - is counting on Country fans to help build a better world for children. The organization will sponsor two major country music festivals this summer - the Country Stampede in Manhattan, Kansas and the Rapids Jam
Music Festival in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
"There is no question that Country music fans are passionate about life," says Zane King, Artist Relations Manager for Compassion International. "Yet we know there are real challenges around the globe for some people to simply exist."
Both festivals will feature some of Country's biggest names and are expected to draw tens of thousands of fans and potential donors. The inauguralRapids Jam Music Festival lineup includes Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Lee Brice, Sugarland, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Colt Ford and many more for three non-stop days of camping and entertainment.
The Country Stampede boasts an equally exciting line-up, from legendary acts like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Sawyer Brown to today's hot hit-makers, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Joe Nichols. In addition, fans will get a chance to hear hot newcomers like Jason Jones and Greg Hanna when the Stampede kicks-off its daily performances at 1pm on the Main Stage.
