Compassion International Believes Country Music Fans Will 'Respond With Compassion'
Nashville, Tenn. (Top40 Charts/ Webster & Associates) One of the world's leading charitable organizations - Compassion International - is counting on Country fans to help build a better world for children. The organization will sponsor two major country music festivals this summer - the Country Stampede in Manhattan, Kansas and the Rapids Jam Music Festival in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

"There is no question that Country music fans are passionate about life," says Zane King, Artist Relations Manager for Compassion International. "Yet we know there are real challenges around the globe for some people to simply exist."

Both festivals will feature some of Country's biggest names and are expected to draw tens of thousands of fans and potential donors. The inauguralRapids Jam Music Festival lineup includes Willie Nelson, Darius Rucker, Lady Antebellum, Lee Brice, Sugarland, Jamey Johnson, Randy Houser, Colt Ford and many more for three non-stop days of camping and entertainment.

The Country Stampede boasts an equally exciting line-up, from legendary acts like The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Sawyer Brown to today's hot hit-makers, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Joe Nichols. In addition, fans will get a chance to hear hot newcomers like Jason Jones and Greg Hanna when the Stampede kicks-off its daily performances at 1pm on the Main Stage.

"This partnership with Compassion International offers the fans the first opportunity to have a personal and longstanding relationship with a charitable foundation," says Liz Cunningham, Marketing Manager for Country Stampede and Rapids Jam Music Festival.

The Rapids Jam Music Festival kicks off June 16 and runs through June 18th. For more information, please visit www.rapidsjam.com.

The Country Stampede runs from June 23rd to June 26th. For more information, please visit www.countrystampede.com.

"We are very humbled to be part of these Country Music Festivals this summer," King says. "This will be a great opportunity for us to share 'RESPOND with Compassion,' where people can donate monthly to help children with clean drinking water, emergency healthcare, proper nutrition and more."
