MAXX12 Brings Back The Rock Extravanganza: Its Debut Show At Gilroy's 9 Lives Offers A Full Night Of Eclectic Entertainment
San Jose, CA (Top40 Charts/ MAXX12 Official Website) It has been a while since rock fans have enjoyed the stage theatrics of Kiss, Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne. But rock-n-roll showmanship is back with MAXX12! Those who appreciate a real old-fashioned rock extravaganza will want to catch the debut of MAXX12 - a new band with a controversial message - at Gilroy's 9 Lives Club on Friday, June 17, 2011.

In addition to introducing the world to a new and exciting music genre - Apocalypse Rock - MAXX12 has handpicked other unusual artists to round out the evening's entertainment. The opening act is a provocative comedienne, and the show closes with a tribute to '80s rock. Even the MAXX12 set - featuring a towering steel pyramid punctuated with a real boar's head - will be a spectacle. As Emerson, Lake & Palmer sang in the '70s, "Come and see the show!"

MAXX12 is made up of three Bay Area '80s rock veterans, with music legend Ronnie Montrose as executive producer. The band's entire musical catalogue is based on outrage with the government and serves as a call to action for those fed up with how the country is run. Through songs from its debut CD, Raw, the band will express its frustration with the state of the country, and encourage the audience to stand up for their rights and join the MAXX12 Nation. For a sneak peak of what MAXX12 is about, view the "Bad Blood" video trailer here: https://youtu.be/viqiNQsGdaA. Or listen to MAXX12 songs by visiting https://www.reverbnation.com/maxx12#. See the "Songs" section to play a tune.

Opening for MAXX12 will be cheeky comedienne Madeline Minx. Her genre-bending comedy has been praised in Film Threat, San Francisco Weekly, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Bay Guardian, Seattle's The Stranger and many other publications. Minx's original screenplay "What Do You Thinx of Madeline Minx?" won "Best Farce" at the Broad Humor Film Festival in Los Angeles and "Best Fresh Voice" at the Female Eye Film Festival in Toronto.

After MAXX12 performs, the audience will be treated to the All-Star Tribute show by popular Bay Area metal bands from the '80s. They will play covers of hit songs by AC/DC, Judas Priest, Van Halen and more. The tribute will be hosted by Greg Hill, lead singer of '80s band Dammaj, and performers will include Dammaj, and former members of Moxy Lama, Mirage, Rellik, Krystal Jem, Mad Anthony, Lethal Creed and more. The All-Star Tribute show is back by popular demand; it sold out Santa Clara's Avalon club in April.

Over the years, many famous bands have cut their teeth performing on the 9 Lives stage, including Papa Roach, Smash Mouth, Incubus, 311 and Sublime.

Doors for the show open at 8 pm; MAXX12 goes on at 9 pm. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. 9 Lives Club is located at 7430 Monterey Road in Gilroy, CA. Phone: 408.337.1799.
