New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ThePlayGround Official Website) Pioneering hero of electronic music, GARY NUMAN, is set to perform for THE PLAYGROUND at a one off event at XOYO in the run up to the release of his new album and 'Dead Son Rising' tour.

On July 2nd, THE PLAYGROUND will play host to a night of high octane electro-punk, headlined with a DJ set from Gary Numan and Ade Fenton. The jam-packed line up also features the likes of Drums of Death, Cyberpunkers and Without My Medicine to name but a few.

Gary Numan, famed for his 1979 hits 'Friends are Electric' and 'Cars,' is set to make an impact at this London event. The fore-father of Electronic rock, who continues to make music with over thirty years of experience in the industry, will be performing a DJ set with Ade Fenton for THE PLAYGROUND in July. In the run up to the release of their new album, and the impending September tour, Gary Numan and Ade Fenton are set to start off this years live shows with this exclusive DJ set performance.

Gary Numan and Ade Fenton's new album 'Dead Son Rising' is set for release on 5th September this year, from what we've heard this promises to be exciting material. Having recently worked with Battles, Gary Numan and Ade Fenton are certainly a major force to be reckoned with in today's British electronic music industry. Their previous sell out shows with THE PLAYGROUND have been a raging success, and with this line up, the July 2nd show is sure to be the same.

The XOYO event will also be hosting Drums Of Death. Scotland-born producer Colin Bailey emerged from the London club scene after being snapped up by Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Alex Waldron to join their record label 'Greco-Roman Records' and has since remixed artists such as Hot Chip, Tricky, Franz Ferdinand, Mando Diao, James Yuill, Steve Mason, Alphabeat and Mika. At this exciting event, Drums of Death will be performing new tracks from his upcoming 'Black Waves EP' (released July 11th) with a live band behind him, its definitely going to get loud.

Cyberpunkers will take a supporting slot in this eclectic, electric line-up. Cyberpunkers are two very talented and incredibly edgy producers hailing from Italy. Despite the band's presence in the electronic scene for a number of years, Cyberpunkers have never played in the UK before. This debut performance is certainly one to get excited about.

Further support at this event comes from Without My Medicine, a band who are known for their energetic and lively shows. Fusing punk energy with futuristic synths, this band are sure to add to the electric atmosphere that will surround this event.

XOYO attendees will also be graced with performances from Kites, Neurotic Mass Movement, Deejay Fonteyn & Buster Bennett, Punx Soundcheck/Dan McKie, Lloyd Chapman (Fish Don't Dance), The Coolness (DJ) and Pete Carvell. This is certainly a line up not to be missed.

XOYO can be found at 32-37 Cowper Street, London, EC2A 4AP. Doors open at 9pm and tickets are on sale now via www.theplayground.co.uk.
