New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ TYGEREYE ENTERTAINMENT) As a New Orleans, Louisiana native living in Kuwait, singer/songwriter JoBee more than understands the need to adapt to his surroundings. In recent years, the young crooner has developed a solid following in the
Middle East and Europe, and will bring the joy of his music to new ears in the U.S. on July 27, 2011 with Irresistible Me via RekLes Entertainment.
The 19-track "Deluxe Mixtape EP" includes production from Vybe Beatz (Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain, Wiz Khalifa) and New York commercial/TV scoring team Sinima Beats, along with a collection of fresh-faced contributors. As JoBee continues to bring fans new videos from Irresistible Me, he will also be putting the finishing touches on his full-length album Vocal Stimulation, slated for release in early 2012.
Meanwhile, JoBee's singles "After the Club" and "Speaking in Tongues" from the Irrisistible Me project are currently available on iTunes and Amazon.com.
Building his dream in Kuwait has been a life-changing experience for the young performer. Despite what people may think, JoBee finds that his music transcends any possible communication barriers. "People everywhere know and appreciate good music," he explains. "The biggest difference in fans that I've encountered is only due to cultural differences."
JoBee picked up on musical influences from his own family growing up, and was inspired by Gospel through his background in the church. He's been affected by all genres of music, and enjoys adding flavors of music from around the world to his songwriting.
"My favorite thing about writing is being able to express the most intimate, innovative and creative inner thoughts in the form of a story or character to music," JoBee says of his craft. "I do it because it's my calling, and also because of how it evokes emotion in others when they hear that same emotion I'm projecting. On Irresistible Me, listeners can expect a rollercoaster - I want people to feel like they've been taken on an emotional journey."
As JoBee continues to record for his full-length debut album, he's setting sights a little higher to aspire for longevity in his career.
"I want to be remembered as a legend in my own right, and as someone who always had a message in his music. I'm a man of God, integrity, love, family, diligence, and heart. As an artist, I hope that people can see that I give my all and pour it all out there in my music. Just listen to my music, and you'll know who I am."
