The Foo Fighters are set to headline Lollapalooza 2011 at the beginning of August, and as the latest installment of their worldwide touring campaign, recently announced a new series of shows scheduled in October and November across the U.S., including stops in Charlotte, Philadelphia, Newark, Boston, Los Angeles, Detroit and Phoenix. Their seemingly never-ending tour rides the relentless momentum generated from the band's recently released seventh album, Wasting Light, which debuted at No 1 in a dozen countries and certified gold less than two months after its debut. Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear will be performing hits spanning the Foo Fighters's catalogue of multi-platinum anthems including new staples such as the 13-week Modern Rock No 1 song "Rope" and "Walk," the band's latest single.
