Stretford End Releases 'Letters On Sunspots: Siderevs Nvncivs'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ MT Press) Yesterday Stretford End released their highly anticipated EP "Letters on Sunspots: Siderevs Nvncivs", the first of a three series collection of EP's, featuring the impassioned and powerful single, "The Fates", produced by Gus Cryns (The Academy Is, Panic! At The Disco, Foxy Shazam).

Formed in 2009, Stretford End (Alexander Millar (Vocals), Joey Jane(Bass), Prentice Daggs (Drums) has enjoyed a meteoric rise in a surprisingly short period of time. Hailing from Berkeley, CA, they're popularity is founded by their infamously powerful live performances. After exploring hard hitting melodies on their acclaimed 2009 release, "Air-Conditioned Life", the band relocated to Los Angeles, CA and caught the attention of producer Gus Cryns (The Academy Is, Panic! At The Disco, Foxy Shazam) who helped produce and record their next EP, "Prelude"

"Letters on Sunspots: Siderevs Nvncivs", Volume One offers up a dynamic repertoire beyond "The Fates". From the ballad, "You'll Never Know" featuring Nikki Simmons of "Stay The Night", to the familiar hard-hitting Stretford End sound in "Carry On", the crisp sounds the band has developed in this EP are unique.

According to Alexander (Vocals), the overall theme of the record is truth. "It's based on a series of papers that Galileo wrote, the sum of which are called Letters On Sunspots. They were the first scientific evidence that disputed the theory that the sun revolves around the earth, which was the accepted general knowledge at the time. Galileo observed that not only did the earth in fact revolve around the sun, but the planets were not perfect spheres, they had pits and configurations. This got him in a great deal of trouble with the Church, who claimed that the heavens were created by God and therefore flawless. His work was forbidden to be published and he was forced to keep silent by the Church until the end of his life."

"Letters On Sunspots: Siderevs Nvncivs" solidifies Stretford End's increasingly strong position in the rock music community, and is destined to gain this young band wider acclaim.
