NEW YORK (M.Doughty Official Website) - Mike Doughty will tour with a band in June for the first time since his former outfit, Soul Coughing, broke up in early 2000. Mike Doughty's Band features Mike Doughty on guitar and vocals, Thomas Bartlett on keyboards and Shahzad Ismaily on drums.
After warmup dates in Hoboken, New Jersey (June 5) and Brooklyn (June 6), the trio will kick off a three-week, 17-date tour in Cleveland on June 9. The run continues through two nights at Stubbs in Austin, Texas, on July 2 and 3, and includes a June 11 performance at the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.

Prior to the band tour, Mike Doughty will perform a string of solo dates in May, opening several shows for Galactic as well as performing at the Jammin' On Jersey festival in Indianapolis and playing a headline show in Pittsburgh. See reverse for a complete list of Mike Doughty tour dates.

Plans are currently being made for the reissue of Mike Doughty's three self-released solo albums: the solo acoustic studio album "Skittish" (2000), live set "Smofe + Smang: Live In Minneapolis" (2002) and the drum machine- and synthesizer-enhanced "Rockity Roll" EP (2003).
This will be the first ever retail release of these albums, which were previously available only at shows and on Doughty's website; details are forthcoming. In addition, a proper full-band studio album was recently recorded with producer Dan Wilson in Minneapolis; featuring such live favorites as "Looking at the World from the Bottom of a Well," "Busting Up A Starbucks" and "American Car," the album is currently being shopped to record labels.
