J.R. Bricks Wins Underground Music Award, Lands Endorsement Deal, Platinum Producer Cosigns
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Block Starz Music) In the short time since the release of his breakout debut single "After The Club" (formerly "Waffle House"), Block Starz Music recording artist J.R. Bricks has become one of Hip-Hop's most buzzworthy independent artists. Fittingly, the Havana, Florida rapper took home the "Buzz Factor" award at this weekend's 2011 Underground Music Awards held at world famous B.B. King's in New York.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, J.R. Bricks was originally profiled in YoRap.com's "Next 2 Blow" section in 2010 and has since been featured in various leading entertainment and trade publications, including AllHipHop.com, Billboard, XXL, and The Source magazines.

Released on July 20, J.R. Bricks debut single, "After The Club" (formerly "Waffle House") was an instant hit on the web, generating rave reviews from influential deejays and major label A&R, as well as national media coverage earlier this month due to a cease and desist action by Waffle House, Inc.

The buzz around J.R. Bricks has also landed the rapper his first endorsement deal, courtesy of independent lifestyle brand ArtistiCreation, www.artisticreation.com, who will provide Bricks with gear and promotional support. In addition, platinum producers Jimi Kendrix (Jay-Z, 50 Cent), DJ Pain 1 (Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane), and JStaffz (Wiz Khalifa), have signed on for J.R. Bricks, as-yet-untitled, major label distributed debut album through Block Starz Music, slated for early 2012 release.

J.R. Bricks will be shooting the official music video for "After The Club", with cameos expected by Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, Lex Luger, DJ Sense, DJ Scream, and Drumma Boy among others. The video shoot, which was intended to be held on location at an area Waffle House, has been moved to The Atrium in Stone Mountain, GA (5479 Memorial Drive) and now centers around a fictional restaurant called "Waffle Place", with original set design and waitress uniforms.

J.R. Brick's "After The Club" is available from Block Starz Music on iTunes.
