National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks, announced that Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter
Sarah McLachlan will perform at the dedication ceremony of the Flight 93
National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania on Saturday,
September 10, 2011. The event will also welcome dignitaries, special guests, and Flight 93 family members and friends. A complete list of speakers and performers will be announced shortly. Through a partnership between
National Park Foundation and HISTORY, the dedication will be broadcast LIVE beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET/ 9:30 a.m. PT on www.Flight93Dedication.org and at history.com/flight93.

The 10th anniversary of the
September 11 attacks will be observed at the Flight 93
National Memorial on the morning of
September 11, 2011, beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. The memorial service will take place at the newly-opened memorial plaza surrounding the site where Flight 93 crashed at 10:03 a.m. on

On Sept. 24, 2002, President Bush signed into law the Flight 93
National Memorial Act. The Act created a new national park unit to commemorate the passengers and crew of Flight 93 who, on
September 11, 2001, courageously gave their lives thereby thwarting a planned attack on our nation's capital. The memorial is near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where Flight 93 crashed with the loss of its 40 passengers and crew. For more information about the Flight 93
