Candlebox To Embark On Fall Tour 2011
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Candlebox Official Website) Seattle hard rockers Candlebox will be embarking on a fall tour starting September 15th with Cowboy Mouth.

Formed in Seattle in 1991 amidst the city's grunge rock renaissance, Candlebox offered something different: a more polished, blues-based sound. Candlebox's debut record sold well over 4 million copies. High-profile tours with Aerosmith, Rush and Metallica helped propel the band to the top of the charts, with hit singles such as "Far Behind" and "You". In the summer of 1994, the breakthrough chart success (No 7) of "Far Behind" garnered the band a coveted headlining slot at that years incarnation of Woodstock, and the distinction of being the only band on the bill with a top ten record at the time.

Candlebox released three more albums, Lucy in 1995 (the record quickly went platinum), Happy Pills in 1998 and Into The Sun in 2008.

"Ultimately, we decided to take some time off after the Happy Pills tour", says Klett. "We'd been on the run for the better part of nine years, writing, recording, touring, and just being pulled in so many different directions by management, label, etc.," adds Martin. "It got to the point where we just didn't know where the band was headed anymore. We didn't know if we liked the songs anymore, we didn't even know if we liked each other anymore."

Over a cup of coffee in late 2005 on a trip home to Seattle, Martin was convinced by Klett that it was indeed time. "So many years had passed; we had all had time to work on other projects and explore different styles of songwriting that we couldn't with Candlebox, do some growing up, and just get over whatever issues had driven us apart" says Klett.
