Austin, TX (Top40 Charts/ One-Eyed Doll Official Website) Austin-based rock duo One-Eyed Doll will still take the stage at Jake's Cafe in Lubbock tomorrow night. The band will perform all of their scheduled dates with Cold this month despite having to evacuate their own homes in the wake of the Bastrop fires currently ravaging regions of the state.
"We don't know if we'll have a home to return to, but the show must go on as they say. I think playing some music and seeing our fans will be great for our spirits. Our thoughts will be with our displaced friends and neighbors and all of the folks back home who've been affected by the fires." says Kimberly Freeman of One-Eyed Doll.
One-Eyed Doll has been recording a new album in Weed, CA with Sylvia Massy (Tool,
System of A Down, Johnny Cash), scheduled for release later this year. The band will be supporting national headlining rock act Cold for a handful of dates in
Texas this month as well. The dates are:
09/08 Lubbock, TX Jake's Sports Cafe
09/09 Abilene, TX Lucky Mule
09/10 Odessa, TX Dos Amigos
09/11 Denton, TX Rockin Rodeo
09/13 Pharr, TX Pharr Entertainment Center
09/14 Corpus Christi, TX
