FRANKLIN, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Naxos of America) Nominations for the 12th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards were announced today at a press conference at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA. Among them were artists and producers from three Naxos and Naxos of America distributed label recordings in the Best Classical Album category: Jose Serebrier's Naxos recording of his Symphony No. 1, performed by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and conducted by the composer himself (8559648; Phil Rowlands, producer), The Brazilian Guitar Quartet Plays Villa-Lobos on Delos which is performed and produced by the quartet (DE 3409), and Villa-Lobos Trio Plays Heitor Villa-Lobos, Astor Piazzolla and Lucio Bruno-Videla on the Oehms Classics label (OC 776; Markus Wallner, producer).

The Latin GRAMMY Awards are set to be announced on November 10 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Univision Network from 8 - 11 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central).
