Toronto, ON (Top40 Charts/ Skylar Entertainment) Canadian songstress Meredith Shaw has had an exciting and successful 2011 so far and the activities continue into fall with a Indie Week showcase and a national
Big Sugar tour. Shaw has been providing the sweet in
Big Sugar this year after Gordie Johnson invited her to join the band on tour. "Have you ever heard the expression 'pretty please, with sugar on top' ? asks Johnson, Meredith Shaw is Pretty to the eye, Pleasing to the ear, and everything she brings to the gig makes it sweeter !"
Johnson produced Shaws debut album Place Called Happy and the two recently remixed Acted Badly with DJ Friendlyness which
Big Sugar has added to their live shows and a video is to be shot in December. Shaw is excited to get on the
Big Sugar bus as she says I've wanted to tour like this since I was a little kid and to get to do it along side such good guys is a really exciting thing. The response from the audiences so far has been super welcoming and I'm really honoured to be holding up the female energy on stage.
The week before the tour starts Shaw will be taking part in Torontos Indie Week with a showcase on October 13th. "Indie Week celebrates all that I care about in this business, she says, It's great to be a part of it this year and I'm totally exited to get out and see the other bands."
