New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Redwood Entertainment) By popular demand Parisian composer, keyboardist and vocalist
Pierre Sibille will be returning to perform live at Ashford & Simpson's legendary Sugar Bar in NYC on Wednesday, October 12, and Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 8:00 PM.
Pierre Sibille's soulful voice and heart-felt delivery is augmented by his tasteful keyboard approach, which rhythmically and melodically enhances his engaging original songs—and to top it off he plays a wicked harmonica!
Pierre is a mainstay in the French music scene performing his dynamic R&B/Soul music at festivals and nightclubs, and he makes frequent trips to appear in the U.S. for enthusiastic audiences. At Sugar Bar he will be performing tunes from his latest well-received CD release, Since I Ain't Got You, as well as other favorites.
"In France, one of the main figures is
Pierre Sibille. Through the gift of a husky voice, a [keyboard] played naturally with 'a dirty sound' and some very well written music . . ."—Sir Ali, Nova Magazine
At both performances
Pierre will be performing with a group of seasoned international pros including, on Wednesday, Scott Sharrard on guitar, bassist Fred Doumbé, and drummer Moses Patrou, and on Saturday with Fred Doumbé on bass and New York's own Johnny Turco on guitar and drummer Stix Bones, members of the Back Alley
Players (www.backalleyplayers.com), the house band at Sugar Bar's weekly Tuesday night "Nuttin' But the Blues" series.
"[Back Alley
Players feature] great guitar work and a locked in rhythm section . . ."—Robert Lynn, KSPQ-FM
Don't miss this rare opportunity to catch a live performance of
Pierre Sibille with a supporting cast of distinctive and accomplished professionals for a night of great music and, simply put, a real good time.
"He is a pianist with a sure touch . . ."—Jacques Perrin, Soul Bag
