Hot Chelle Rae To Perform At Southern Nevada School With The Largest Commitment To Combatting Bullying
LAS VEGAS (Top40 Charts/ R&R Partners) "Flip the Script," a campaign providing information and resources to combat bullying in Nevada, and CBS radio's 98.5 KLUC have announced that popular artist Hot Chelle Rae will give a live performance at whichever Southern Nevada middle school or high school has the highest number of votes. The 98.5 KLUC Flip the Script School Takeover was announced September 29th at a statewide town hall on bullying aired by Cox Communications, Las Vegas.

"CBS Radio and 98.5 KLUC have always been committed to efforts that make this a better community. We thank them for their partnership, and are excited Hot Chelle Rae has agreed to perform for students who are working to make our schools a safer and more welcoming place," said Fletcher Whitwell, vice president of media & digital activation at R&R Partners.

"Bullying is a growing problem, and we are happy to play a role in celebrating students who stand up and refuse to accept this behavior as a rite of passage," said Chet Buchanan, host of Chet Buchanan & The Morning Zoo on 98.5 KLUC.

Clark County public and private high schools and middle schools have been invited to participate by registering with 98.5 KLUC. Once a school has registered, students may log onto www.kluc.com to vote for a specific school. Students can vote multiple times daily and teachers and administrators are welcome to participate as well. The winning school will be announced November 4th, 2011 with the expected concert date of November 21st. Students are also encouraged to take the Flip the Script pledge against bullying at www.flipthescriptnow.org.

Contest voting is open through 11:59 p.m. PT on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011. Official rules and details can be found at https://kluc.radio.com/flip-the-script-school-takeover-official-rules.

Flip the Script

R&R Partners, together with partner organizations throughout Nevada, have created the "Flip the Script" campaign to provide resources to parents, students and educators on how to combat bullying in Nevada. In addition to a variety of print and broadcast materials, the campaign has designed curriculum for implementation by the Clark County School District during the "Week of Respect" as declared by Governor Sandoval. The campaign has received incredible support from local and state government as well as a growing number of partner entities.
