PEMBROKE PINES, FL. (USH Entertainment announcement) - Until now, South Florida was known mostly for its Hip-Hop & Tranz movement. Until now...

South Florida hard core music fans have good reason to celebrate this summer. Led by a group of local alternative rock musicians and a few selected venues and promoters, there will be an abundance of raw talent being showcased at area clubs throughout the coming months.

Until recently, there has been no concerted effort to raise awareness of the fact that South Florida is a virtual breeding ground of burgeoning musical talent that extends in its complicity, far beyond the scope of what you hear on the radio today. Local radio stations are required to play what station executives feel is relevant to today's listener. Often times they miss the mark, leaving their audience no alternative but to seek musical rejuvination elsewhere.

Interestingly enough, the two major metropolitan areas of Florida have one alternative rock station to share between them. Smaller cities like Orlando, Gainesville and Tallahassee have at least three each. It is this lack of quality radio content compounded by a lack of legitimate rock venues, that keep the local South Florida rock scene from growing ever stronger. The success of bands like "Nonpoint" and "New Found Glory" are proof that there is a local sound, and there is definitely a fan base.

It is our mission at USH Entertainment Corp. to build a better networked musical scene for the people of South Florida who rightfully demand it. (USH Entertaiment Corp. specializes in the procurement, representation and promotion of aspiring, local talent).

Towards that end, we will make ourselves available to a larger audience, and thus: create more venues, sign more bands, get more artist representation, raise additional capital, and most importantly, give the people more music to listen to.
