Nelson is releasing his newest full-length winter themed album Sunday, November 20th for free download to those who sign up for the mailing list at DerikNelson.com.
Derik says about the release:
"My brand new album, "Songs About Winter," will be released this Sunday, November 20th! It's a full length collection of mostly original songs, composed to evoke the feelings and emotions of the winter season."
With a sign up for the mailing list, a code will be emailed on November 20th for a free download of the album, as well as original artwork by Riana Nelson. The release will be celebrated with an album release party in Los Angeles, Sunday the 20th of November at ROOM 5 on La Brea, 9pm, $10 at the door.
"Other than keeping busy with the final touches on this album, I've stayed active on the set of FOX's hit TV series, "Glee." Derik
Nelson is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where he received a degree in
Music Industry (though was awarded honorary graduate of the year in the new Popular
Music program). His time at USC yielded some great opportunities, including a songwriting scholarship awarded to him by
Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, and the honor of being commissioned by the President's office to write a song to represent the USC Graduating Class of 2011. Derik has performed in various locations across the country, and his sixth original record to his name will be released in November.
