Additionally, "I Don't Want To Know" continues to do well in the US as it holds onto the No 2 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 Singles Chart for two consecutive months. The single is also No 4 on the Mainstream Top 40 Chart and No 7 R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Charts.
A testament to his wide-spread popularity, Winans has garnered five Teen Choice Award nominations: Choice R&B Artist, Choice Breakout Artist, Choice Music Hook, Choice R&B Track, and Choice Music Single.
The Detroit native's Bad Boy debut album, Hurt No More is receiving critical acclaim. Rolling Stone describes Winans' gold certified CD as, "a pop record of uncommon niceness."
The album currently holds the No 5 spot on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart.
Hailing from the world's most renowned gospel family, The Winans, and son of gospel legend Vickie Winans, Mario Winans is upholding his family's name with his recent success. The Detroit native was long regarded as a very talented producer and musician (he plays various instruments including the piano, drums and keyboard) before venturing out as a solo artist.
He has written and produced songs for some of the music industry's biggest names, including Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, David Bowie, Beyonce, label mate Carl Thomas, Jennifer Lopez and is currently working with Toni Braxton.
Winans is currently preparing to film the music video to his follow-up single, "Never Really Was" featuring Lil' Flip. He is also currently wrapping up a promotional tour throughout Europe where the album is thriving. It is currently gold in the UK.
As Bad Boy Records continues to celebrate the success of Winans' debut, the independent record label also celebrates the success of 8 Ball & MJG's Living Legends, which is the seventh Bad Boy title to enter into the Top 10 on the Top 200 Albums Chart since Bad Boy Records inked a venture deal with Universal Records in 2003.
The label is preparing to continue its streak of success by releasing the remastered version of The Notorious B.I.G.'s, Ready To Die on July 13th. The album will feature unreleased B.I.G. songs and music videos.
