New York, NY (Top40 Charts / City of Hope) Ne-Yo, Skylar Grey, Sara Bareilles, Swizz Beatz, Desmond Child, Mark Mothersbaugh(co-founder and lead singer of Devo),and other music and entertainment industry giants committed to fighting cancer and other life-threatening diseases will take part in Songs of Hope VII, a special event and silent auction presented by Esquire that supports lifesaving research at City of Hope. Held at the exclusive Esquire Apartment in the penthouse of The Clocktower in DUMBO, Brooklyn, N.Y., the Dec. 1 event will be emceed by Ne-Yo and feature intimate performances by Skylar Grey andSara Bareilles. Lending their names in support to the host committee are Miley Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds, John McEnroe, Patty Smyth, RobThomas, and Mary Mary.

Recognizing their amazing careers as songwriters and composers, the Songs of Hope VII award recipients will include the:

Clive Davis "Legend in Songwriting" Award presented toDesmond Child
Martin Bandier "Vanguard" Award presented toSara Bareilles
Electronic Arts Composer Award presented toMark Mothersbaugh
American Express "Award for Innovation Excellence in Music" presented to Swizz Beatz

The exclusive Songs of Hope silent auction features rare and one-of-a-kind music and film experiences and autographed items, including the opportunity to bid on original sheet music to "Lay Lady Lay" autographed by Bob Dylan; Paul Simon signed "Graceland" sheet music; Elton John/Leon Russell autographed vinyl edition of The Union; Miranda Lambert's autographed guitar; the pilot episode of "Boardwalk Empire" autographed by the entire cast; a VIP visit to a Disney scoring session with Danny Elfman; and a five-night stay at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis in the Caribbean with two American Airlines business class tickets, to name a few.

Guests will enjoy the surroundings of the exclusive Esquire Apartment, a triplex penthouse in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. Billed as the "Ultimate Bachelor Pad," the Esquire Apartment was built to mirror the editorial range of Esquire magazine and to reflect the lifestyle of today's modern man, featuring spaces created by A-list designers and luxury lifestyle brands including Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hugo Boss, Ermenegildo Zegna, Lufthansa, Acura, and more. The event is sponsored by Acura, Hugo Boss, Knob Creek, and TouchTunes. Esquire has raised more than $8.5 million for a variety of charities through the Bachelor Pad initiative.
