Skillet heats up the summer with Saliva tour

LOS ANGELES (Lava Records) - Aggressive rockers Skillet score a plum spot on tour with metal mavens Saliva. The melodic, hard rock quartet will hit the road with their Memphis brethren beginning July 5th in Cincinnati, OH.
In addition, Skillet celebrate the release of their major label debut Collide on Lava Records with a No 2 Most Added spot at rock and college radio for debut single "Savior." "Savior" recently won a song-to-song cage match on WIYY in Baltimore, beating out new singles from Korn, Lenny Kravitz, and Fear Factory.

Previously signed to Ardent Records, Skillet has released a total of four albums, which have sold upwards of 400,000 units in the U.S. Already firmly established in the independent marketplace, Skillet are ready to conquer the mainstream, following in the footsteps of successful brethren such as P.O.D., Evanescence and the now defunct Creed.

The band, fronted by the husband and wife team of John Cooper (vocals/bass) and Korey Cooper (guitar/keyboard), combine elements of rock, metal and goth with pulsating, hook-filled melodies. Rounding out the band are 19-year-old guitarist Ben Kasica and powerhouse drummer Lori Peters. Together, Skillet has performed over 170 live dates in the last year alone in front of 500,000 people.
