Indie Rock Sensations Grouplove To Live Web Chat With Fans On Tuesday
SAN FRANCISCO, CA. (Top40 Charts/ TokBox) Indie rock band Grouplove will host a live video webchat with their fans on Tuesday, December 13th. Using the OpenTok Video Platform, the chat will take place on Grouplove's website as well as their Facebook page.

Grouplove are no strangers to the technology scene. The group's latest single 'Tongue Tied' is featured in the new TV spot for Apple's iPod Touch and their previous single "Colours," was featured on the soundtrack for Madden NFL 12 and FIFA 12.

"We're really excited," said Grouplove member Hannah Hopper. "Doing video chats, answering questions and doing funny little things... it could get weird."

Atlantic Records spokesperson, Gurj Bassi, added: "We are always searching for new and exciting ways for artists to engage with fans and this technology helps fuel that goal. Video chatting enables a personal connection between artist and fan in a way that's not possible through other networks. Through video chatting, interaction really comes to life."

Ian Small, CEO of TokBox, the company behind the OpenTok Video Platform commented: "Musicians and celebrities have grasped the power of face-to-face communication very quickly. With such intense schedules and passionate fans, a webchat is a quick and simple way to give their audience a thrill from the comfort of their own home."
To join Grouplove for a live video webchat on December 13 at 3PM PST, go to www.Grouplovemusic.com or www.Facebook.com/Grouplove.
