Crooner Frank Lamphere's Original Songs To Be Featured In Movie
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rat Pack Enterprises) Just eight days after being digitally released, two songs on the new EP, Frank Swings, jazz retro-pop crooner Frank Lamphere's (LAM-fear) first release of original music, have been licensed for inclusion in an independent film.

The New York-based film production company A May Sky Picture Entertainment discovered Lamphere's recording of the swinging "I Never Forgot" online and found it the ideal fit for a memorable scene in their film Teresa is a Mother. The jazz-flavored "Be Happy" will also be included in the film. Lamphere states, "It feels great to have just released a song and have some immediate success with it, especially as a new songwriter. It's very encouraging." Teresa is a Mother (in post production) is expected to be unveiled at film festivals in the upcoming year.

Frank actually began the songwriting aspect of his career in the Autumn of 2007. One morning, ideas just "started flowing." Although he was having a good time at songwriting, ever the entrepreneur, Lamphere joined ASCAP and formed Rat Pack Jazz Publishing to prepare for what he surely knew was a future direction. Frank Swings consists of this early output of songs. Michael Jeffers, CEO of Chicago Jazz Publishing and Entertainment, wrote, "Writing original music that tells a good story and swings is a lost art form. However, with his latest release, Frank Swings, Lamphere draws the listener in with his original lyrics, composition, phrasing and unique sound that I believe distinguishes him from most of his contemporaries and sets a new standard for the 21st century crooner."

The five-song EP represents an important new direction for the singer with the 2000+ song repertoire of mostly standards and popular tunes from the 1930-1960s. Singing his own music has allowed Frank to really showcase his extensive vocal abilities and style in a way that doesn't have him competing with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett or any of his other musical "mentors." Scheduled for CD release on February 01, 2012, CD Baby, the online independent music store, will handle distribution of the disc. Downloads are available now at iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.

Frank Lamphere has been singing professionally and steadily since about 1996. Among his credits are hundreds of well-received shows including Frank Lamphere Presents Rat Pack Jazz and a Tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes. A well-seasoned nightclub entertainer, Lamphere has held extended gigs at Chicago's Peninsula Hotel and Jilly's. Frank's specialized musical presentation makes him an in-demand performer around the country for corporate and private events. Lamphere has also performed concerts in Milan, Italy. His previous recording projects include demos, songs for television commercials, and in 2002, the self-produced CD, Ain't Love a Kick.
