NEW YORK (Capitol Records) - Capitol Records R&B/Hip-Hop singer Houston, whose single " I Like That" was shipped to radio less than 3 weeks ago, is exploding at the Urban format having already broken into the Top 40 on the Mainstream Urban Chart and the Top 20 on the Rhythm Chart, crossing the threshold of 20 Million listeners in audience. The track, which features Chingy, Nate Dogg and I-20 and production by the famed St. Louis-based Trak Starz, has also been added to MTV and BET and is already becoming a major hit across the United States. And if the instantaneous reaction to "I Like That" is getting in the media weren't enough, the track has been picked by McDonald's as the key song in their summer Big Mac Meal Tracks advertising campaign. This unique marketing effort offers every customer who purchases a Big Mac Extra Value Meal at participating McDonald's restaurants an access code worth one free song download at the Connect music store. McDonald's will aggressively support the Big Mac Meal Tracks program with a brand new global television commercial which features high-tech special effects, a cameo by Justin Timberlake and Houston's "I Like That" as the music bed. "I Like That" will be released as a cd single at retail and online stores across the country on June 29th. On August 10th with major support from media outlets including MTV, BET, Urban Radio, Soul Train, Vibe and Seventeen, Houston's debut album It's Already Written will hit the streets. Houston, a Los Angeles-native, came up singing on street corners and at talent contests before gaining the attention of Capitol Records executives. On 'It's Already Written,' Houston's unique style seamlessly unites R&B and Hip-Hop genres into something entirely new and different, undoubtedly making this summer one of the hottest in recent memory.
