If You Missed Out On The Cr8net 2011 Conference, Worry Not, Cida Are Proud To Bring You Cr8net 2012!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cultural Industries Development Agency) Cr8net 2012 will once again take place at the prestigious Royal Institution of Great Britain in Mayfair on 24th April 2012. We have designed the day specifically to suit senior managers, politicians, decisions makers, creative support agencies and strategic cultural organisations in the creative industries.

Hosted and Chaired by Matthew Taylor, CEO RSA London, CIDA have once again bought to you a formidable panel of speakers including

· Alan Davey, CEO Arts Council England
· Hasan Bakhshi, Director of Creative Industries, Policy and Research at NESTA
· Pim Baxter, Deputy Director, National Portrait Gallery
· Claude Gruntitzky, founder of the seminal style/culture magazine TRACE
· Ekow Eshun, Cultural Commentator
· Dirujan Sabesan, founder and Director of Creative Nerds
· Andy Pratt, Professor at Kings College London
· Natalie Wade (Projects Manager, Small Green Shoots)
· Aranceli Camargo (Founder, The Cube London)
· Baroness Lola Young

So what are we trying to achieve? Well our master plan is simple really: create a platform, add leading players in the industry, throw in a few topical creative conundrums to fire the synapses, invite key industry leaders for challenging debates, stand well back and listen carefully.

You have an idea of who our speakers are, we're sure you can imagine what the Creative Entrepreneurship panel will be like (your questions may make all the difference though). Panel two is actually structured in a "BBC - Question Time" format. We are using The Creative Money-Go-Round as a starting point but both panels will look at innovation and panel two will of course be driven by audience questions.

In addition to the panel of speakers, Cr8net 2012 is a fantastic opportunity to connect with leading thinkers and decision makers within the sector - the networking at an event like Cr8net is second to none with representatives from major arts, creative & cultural and political sectors.

CIDA's first Cr8net conference was attended by creative industries practitioners including representatives from Tate Modern, Pinewood Studios, Arts Council England, Arts & Business, Crafts Council as well as several leading universities such as the University of the Arts London, Goldsmiths University, Kings College and the University of East London.

Cr8net tickets are only £195 if you book before 15th February 2012 - that's £100 off the original ticket price!

CIDA are a charitable not-for-profit organisation. We support grassroots artists, entrepreneurs and micro creative and cultural organisations so everything we make is pumped back into the industry in one form or another. Like a number of organisations of our size we have no core funding but we are determined not just to survive the times but to thrive within them. As well as everything else Cr8net helps us do that. Hope to see you on the 24th.
