Musician Jas Patrick Giving Away Upcoming Ep Tributaries Free Until February 27
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Tiny Lion Records) Nashville-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jas Patrick announced that he is giving away a free digital copy of his upcoming release, Tributaries, to all those who sign up by Feb. 27. Those interested can sign up at https://www.jaspatrick.com. Tributaries, Patrick's second album, goes on sale Feb. 28, 2012.

Those who sign up will also receive a bonus -- the instant download of a 4-song sampler from Patrick's debut album Working On My Soul. Redemption codes for the free digital copy of Tributaries will be emailed to subscribers on the album release date of Feb. 28.

Tributaries will be self-released through Tiny Lion Records, an independent label that Patrick co-owns with partner Vicki Garrison. The songs on Tributaries showcase varying influences and Patrick's take on rock, blues, singer-songwriter, Latin and even world music. Patrick not only wrote each song but he played every part on Tributaries with the exception of bass guitar.

About Jas Patrick
Born in Houston, Texas, Jas Patrick moved to Nashville with his family in the early 90s when his father, Jeff Peterson, began playing steel guitar for the Clint Black band.

Patrick developed an early interest in music and was given his first drum kit at the age of four. With no money for professional instruction, he learned to play by mimicking favorite records from ZZ Top, Little Feat, the Clint Black band, jazz albums and popular rock bands of the time. For years he continued solely as a drummer, playing with a myriad of local bands in high school, college and later with major label artists.

Over time Patrick also taught himself to play guitar and began writing his own songs, though he never considered himself a singer. "I tried to find someone to sing my songs, but never found a fit," he recalls. With encouragement from friends, Patrick began testing the waters in late 2005 when he played his first solo gig at a coffee house. After that performance, Patrick began focusing on his career as a solo artist and went to work recording his debut album, Working On My Soul. Recorded in his home studio, Working On My Soul, grew into an ambitious, 18-track album that took over three years to create and was finally released in 2010.

For his latest release, Tributaries, Patrick felt as though he was a "mad scientist," distilling his musical ideas into five songs that reveal a melange of rock, blues, R&B and world music. Tributaries will be on sale Feb. 28 at https://www.jaspatrick.com as well as major digital outlets such as iTunes and Amazon.com.
