Titanium Presents Timbre Rock &
Roots is back for the third year running on Friday and Saturday, 30 & 31 March 2012 at the
Marina Promenade located on the Singapore Grand Prix F1 tracks behind the Singapore Flyer.
Timbre Rock &
Roots has carved out a niche for presenting quality artists appealing to a more mature audience. Along the way, the festival also picks up emerging acts that have proven to be "dark horses" waiting to be discovered on site.
"Last year's line up was much more diverse with folk legend
Bob Dylan to mainstream commercial artists the likes of
John Legend and Imogen Heap. This year, it was a deliberate effort to programme acts that will get the crowds grooving and dancing from the start to the end." says Mr.
Peter Noble, Co-Festival Director.
Indeed, this first wave of a two-part artist announcements already sees legendary soul & funk superband Earth, Wind & Fire, the greatest rocksteady two-tone ska band of all times The Specials, multiple Grammy award winner Keb Mo and the return of the explosive Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and music legend
Buddy Guy.

When The Specials kicked off the first night of their sold out 30th anniversary tour in April 2009, nobody could have realised just how incredible these live shows would be, and the utterly amazing reaction of fans around the world. The audiences were packed with music lovers who had waited since 1981 to revisit this stunning band alongside The Specials 'virgins' who had never had the chance to see them live. When the curtains dropped and Terry Hall, Lynval Golding, Neville Staple, Roddy Byers, Horace Panter and John Bradbury exploded on stage to Do The Dog. Dancehalls across
Europe erupted with young and old stomping as if their lives depended on it. Likewise at Timbre Rock & Roots, The Specials is going to put that same energy in your feet. Are you ready for greatest Two-Tone,
Black & White Unite rocksteady dancehall band of all times?
