"
Someone Like You" surpassed all previous Song of the Year records - selling more than double the previous record-holder, Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
The song's writers,
Adele Adkins and
Daniel Wilson are both recipients of the award, joining the ranks of previous winning songwriters including Leonard Cohen,
Linda Perry and
Vanessa Carlton. Universal
Music Publishing Ltd. and Chrysalis
Music Ltd., the song's publishers, will likewise be receiving Musicnotes "Publisher of the Year" awards.

Adele will be performing live at the 54th Annual Grammy awards on February 12, 2012. It will be her first performance since undergoing vocal cord surgery last fall. This year, her Grammy nominations include Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
