Grouplove Announce Headlining Spring Tour; LA-based Band Kicks Off Cross Country Trek On April 16, 2012
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Canvasback Music/ Atlantic Records) Canvasback Music/Atlantic recording artists Grouplove have unveiled details of their headlining spring tour. The dates will kick off on April 16th at the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara, CA, running into mid-June (tour itinerary attached). To herald the news, the band is treating fans to a special version of their single "Tongue Tied" that been remixed by Swedish electronic band Little Dragon and currently available for download at SPIN.com (https://www.spin.com/articles/hear-grouploves-tongue-tied-remixed-oblivion-little-dragon). Support on select legs of the tour will come from Reptar and Company of Thieves. Pre-sale begins Wednesday, February 22nd at https://grouplove.artistarena.com with general public on sale for most shows starting Friday, February 24th. Please visit www.grouplovemusic.com or www.facebook.com/grouplove for more information.

The headlining tour comes on the heels of a high profile appearance at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, and includes stops at the Sasquatch Music Festival in George, WA, and the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. The Los Angeles-based quintet's dizzying 2012 tour schedule began in January with a run of dates in Australia and New Zealand, and continued with a European tour for most of February. Their tour with Young The Giant begins March 6th at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT, and concludes on April 7th at the Moore Theater in Seattle, WA.

One of the most talked about new bands, Grouplove released their highly anticipated full length debut "NEVER TRUST A HAPPY SONG" last September. The 12 song collection was produced by the band's own Ryan Rabin and features the hit single, "Tongue Tied." An early favorite of NPR's All Songs Considered, show host Bob Boilen selected the track as his song of the summer in advance of the album's release. In November, "Tongue Tied" appeared in a wildly popular Apple iPod Touch commercial and began its ascent up the Alternative Radio chart. "Tongue Tied" made its live national television debut with a raucous performance on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live in January. Earlier this month, Grouplove was named MTV's PUSH (Play Until Someone Hears) Artist of the Week, garnering near constant exposure on the channel while the companion music video for "Tongue Tied" is in rotation at both MTV2 and mtvU.

Grouplove is: Christian Zucconi (vocals, guitar), Hannah Hooper (vocals, keys), Sean Gadd (bass, vocals), Andrew Wessen (guitar, vocals), Ryan Rabin (drums).
