NEW YORK (Universal Records) - Cash Money Records is No 1 at three radio formats simultaneously with two singles. Multi-platinum rapper Juvenile's single "Slow Motion," is No 1 on both the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and Rap chart this week.

While legendary R&B songstress Teena Marie's, single "Still In Love" is No 1 for a third consecutive week on the Urban Adult Contemporary chart, making this just one more accomplishment for the Williams Brothers (Cash Money's CEO Ronald "Slim" Williams and Bryan "Baby" Williams).

Juvenile who recently struck gold with his fifth solo album, Juve The Great, is on his way to platinum status again with his third single, "Slow Motion." The track featuring the late Soulja Slim has quickly captured radio listeners. It is the No 1 song on both the R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and the Rap Chart.

Teena Marie's first album in 10-years, La Dona, has remained in the Top 5 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop charts since its release on May 11th. "Still In Love," the lead single from Ms. Marie's critically acclaimed CD, remains No 1 at the urban adult contemporary radio format for the third week in a row. Teena Marie's last No 1 single was 1988's hit song "Oh La La." La Dona marks Teena Marie's Cash Money Classics/Universal Records debut. As the first artist on Cash Money's new imprint, Ms. Marie bridges the gap between the old and new schools of Soul music.

Cash Money Records was started in 1991 when brothers Ronald "Slim" Williams and Bryan "Baby" Williams decided to turn their love of hip hop from a hobby into a full time business. The Williams brothers decided to call their company Cash Money Records after spending a year putting together their company. The brothers went on to release what was to become one of the South's most beloved underground classics, 6th & Baronne by UNLV.
6th & Baronne sold close to twenty thousand copies throughout the Deep South, marking Cash Money's transition from a local to a regional label. They followed that up with UNLV's sophomore LP, Uptown For Life, which sold almost twice as much as 6th & Baronne. The record still remains one of Cash Money's most sought after records. However, it was a record from a little unknown young MC by the name of BG whose solo debut Chopper City (1993) sold a whopping 100,000 units, which sent a ton of majors knocking at Cash Money's door.

In addition to selling over ten million albums within the first five years and releasing a double platinum straight-to-video movie, Baller Blockin', Cash Money introduced a number of words like "bling bling" and "Whaodie" into the hip hop lexicon. Indeed when it comes to phenomenal success in the music industry, no label has achieved the levels that Cash Money has achieved in such a short period of time.
