Hillbilly Herald Announces Spring Tour Supporting Slash And Steel Panther
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts / Tailfish PR) Staying true to rock 'n' roll, Hillbilly Herald is bringing back "The Show" with in-your-face, guitar slingin', raspy voiced singin', drum ringin' rock 'n' roll and taking the US by storm. The band www.hillbillyherald.com, fronted by Jimmy Herald (vocals), kicks it up a notch rolling out a Midwest tour with dates that include opening for the iconic Grammy Winner Slash and his band featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators and several dates with metal maniacs Steel Panther.

The band's success has been largely the result of Herald's sheer determination to move the group forward. The current lineup consists of Mark "The Cat" Hill (Guitar), Adam Wolf (bass), Hawaiian Brian (Guitar), and Louie "Sea Biscuit" Riel (Drums). "Every member of this band has a great talent and heart," explains Herald.

Herald—who grew up revering Guns N' Roses—is honored to be opening shows for his icon, saying, "The first time I heard Appetite For Destruction it changed my life." The two met while Herald was working as a bartender at Hamburger Hamlet in Sherman Oaks. "Slash would come in, and we'd talk about music. I'd never sung a note in my life and Slash had never seen me play but he could see my passion and he encouraged me to go for it." A year later Herald's making music, gigging all over LA and passing out his demos. He reconnected with Slash at the 2010 Sunset Strip Music Festival and filled him in on the band's progress and plans for the future.

The two met up again over dinner, and Herald says, "Now try to grasp this, here you are sitting next to someone who, as a kid, growing up in Indiana, you emulated and watched every move, and now that very same rock star is sitting next to you telling you, 'Your band is about all the right things and it's going to happen.' It was the most surreal and gratifying moment of my life."

"There's nothing more encouraging than having one of the best guitar players in rock 'n' roll agree to put you on his tour. We're still trying to take it all in," says Herald.
