Singapore Produces The World's First Classical And Pop Music Album Created Entirely On The iPad
Singapore (Top40 Charts/ Ian Low Official Website) Today, local Singaporean, Ian Low, has just released the world's first classical music album that was recorded and produced entirely using only an iPad and a software app, Apple's own GarageBand. It is entitled The Eternal Broth.

The album is a rearrangement of an earlier instrumental work by Mr. Low, Father, which was also done on the iPad. Father is also a musical story about a pair of brothers and their struggles to find their mark in their careers and lives, all revolving around their father's simple but humble soup food tall.

While the earlier album featured modern and contemporary pop arrangements and instrumentation, The Eternal Broth uses only classical and acoustic instrumentation found on the GarageBand app to evoke a different dimension to the original pop tracks on Father. It is the world's first classical music album to be produced in this manner.

The end result is an elegant yet majestic sounding album that hopes to infuse classical music with a modern pop sensibility, while allowing contemporary pop to be placed in a rich classical setting. Mr Low hopes to bridge the gap between the two genres and create a new genre which he labels as "digital classical pop music".

This new genre makes use of the power of technology to replicate authentic sounds and instruments and allows the composer to focus on writing and arranging great music. Through modern technology and the Web, one-man orchestras like Mr. Low can now easily publish his musical works and reach a mass audience without the need to sign to a major music label.

The Eternal Broth is released under the SilverTunes label, which is an independent music and enrichment company run by Ian Low. The album is now out on iTunes worldwide and is also available on major digital music stores like Amazon and CDBaby.
