Music business association NARM and digitalmusic.org, the virtual home of NARM's digital initiatives, have selected the iconic DJ
Cassidy to perform at the
Music Biz 2012 Awards Dinner Party, which will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. DJ
Cassidy will spin his own unique mix of music to provide a celebratory soundtrack for the event that combines the newest, hottest sounds with the most classic and timeless. The
Music Biz 2012 Awards Dinner Party will also include the presentation of NARM and digitalmusic.org's Artist of the Year Award to global superstar Katy Perry, as well as several other awards still to be announced.

Cassidy is one of the most in-demand deejays in the world, regularly performing at the hottest clubs in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas, Paris, London, Tokyo, Dubai, and more. He got his first big break in 1999, when he landed weekly gigs at several New York City hotspots. Within two years, he was performing at marquee events such as Jennifer Lopez's marriage to Cris Judd in 2001 and Oprah Winfrey's 2007 New Year's Eve Party in South Africa. In 2011, he served as Kanye West's tour deejay and performed at Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kris Humphries. He is also famous for hosting his own blowout bashes, including his monthly Rock/Freak party with Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson of The Roots, his annual Remember the Time
