Anchored Record New Single "Throwing Down" With West Coast Hip-Hop Legends Snoop Dogg

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Anchored official website) Anchored recently hit the NRG Studios in Hollywood, CA with producer Jay Baumgardner (Papa Roach, Evanescence) to record their new single "Throwing Down" with west coast hip-hop legends Snoop Dogg and Terrace Martin. The single will be released digitally on May 8th, 2012 and is the first single from Anchored's upcoming new album which is scheduled for a summer 2012 release.

"'Throwing Down' is one of those fun party songs that's all about booze and grass that you can light on fire," commented Anchored vocalist Brandan Narrell.

"We had the song mapped out and it was just missing something, but Terrace Martin came in and nailed it," added guitarist Michael Thomes. "We had this one part in the song that was perfect for a hip-hop part, so threw out a bunch of names of artists we'd like to work with and Snoop was the one we keep coming back to. We sent him the track and somehow the stars aligned and he wanted to do it. It ended up becoming this huge party anthem."
