New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Oliver Richman Official Website) A few weeks after
Oliver Richman's (www.oliverrichman.com) latest run of show-stopping appearances as "Young Frank Sinatra" in "Sandy Hackett's
Rat Pack Show" in Palm Desert and Glendora, California, the 10-year-old vocal phenomenon is following in equally formidable footsteps: Michael Jackson's!
Forty-two years after the
Jackson 5 took Smokey Robinson's classic ballad "Who's Lovin' You" (featuring the vocals of Michael) to #1 as the B-side of "I Want You Back," the young powerhouse is releasing his own version as a single on iTunes: https://bit.ly/IkMrEP.
The track was produced by Richman's mother, songwriter and performer Lisa Dawn Miller, co-produced by Mark Matson and features Dave Hart on guitar and harmonica.
Richman also recently performed on KMIR-TV's AM news in Palm Desert https://www.kmir6.com/news/local/141232213.html.
Among the artists who have recorded "Who's Lovin' You" since The Miracles debuted it in 1960 are The Temptations, The Supremes, Terence Trent D'arby,
Human Nature and En Vogue.
Last fall, Richman did a week of performances as "Young Frank" in "Sandy Hackett's
Rat Pack Show" at the Fred Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks, California. He later released his debut EP 'Defying Gravity.'
The success of Richman's videos for "
Defying Gravity" (from the musical Wicked) and the Steve Miller Band's 1982 hit "
Abracadabra" inspired the eclectic four track set, which showcases his unique versatility. The EP includes a stirring rendition of the Gershwin standard "
Someone To Watch Over Me" (the song Richman sings in "Rat Pack Show") and "I Can See," an original song penned by the singer's late grandfather, legendary Motown songwriter Ron Miller.
In December 2010, Richman sang with
Stevie Wonder at a House Full of Toys Benefit Concert. Wonder invited Richman to sing at the 15thAnnual House Full of Toys Benefit Concert, held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles; Richman received a standing ovation for his performance from an audience of over 7,500 people. He has also been featured on Byron Allen Entertainment Studios' "The Young Icons," a nationally-syndicated show about young people changing the world.
