Twitter has seen an outpouring of celebrity support for the campaign so far with Gary Barlow, Florence + the Machine, Olly Murs,
Nicole Scherzinger, Jamie Cullum, Scissor Sisters,
Elbow and more all tweeting their favourite gigs and festival experiences.
Following the release of the 'Music is GREAT Britain' DVD and download,
David Bowie has reached the top spot of the iTunes video charts with his performance of 'Ziggy Stardust' at the Hammersmith Odeon. The DVD and download celebrates the most iconic British live music acts through history with all net profits going to Save The Children.
The Who also feature on the DVD with their performance of 'Won't Get Fooled Again' at Shepperton Studios in 1973. Speaking about the campaign
Roger Daltrey said:
"It is great to be part of this celebration of live British performances. I'm proud of our amazing music heritage. Brilliant that it raises money for Save the Children at the same time."
The Shepperton performance was the last time that Keith Moon performed with The Who who died just six weeks later.
Roger Daltrey remembers:
'Keith was his wonderful self on the funnies, but struggling to reach his glorious best on the drums. Six weeks later he was gone.'

Music is GREAT in Britain:
"The Americans may have invented Rock 'n' Roll but I think that ever since The
Beatles we have sorted to have a bit of a knack for it"
Even those from overseas have been discussing their love of Great British music such as Kimberly Wyatt:
"I was watching a documentary on Britpop not too long ago about
Oasis and Blur and I just think there are these moments in time where music just encaptures what is going on in the world and what's going on with what what they are going through. And I just think it's those moments that make history. I think that musically Britain has made those moments quite well."
Tim Minchin also added:
"British music from the 60's and 70's is the best music ever. There must be a million conflating reasons as to why that is. At it's best British music is always honest - lyrically and musically honest."
Music is GREAT Week is seven days of musical celebration. It is an opportunity for artists, bands and music fans to pay tribute to British music - past, present and future - through a number of exciting events and appearances.
