New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Girlie Action Media & Marketing) Theresa Andersson has just completed a new video for "Street Parade," the title track from her new album. Directed by Alicia J. Rose in collaboration with the interactive musical shantytown known as The
Music Box in New Orleans, the video features the songstress exploring some of the most beautiful and mystical corners of her hometown. Rose explains, "When I first heard Theresa Andersson's 'Street Parade' I wanted to pair it with a visual treatment that was steeped in New Orleans magic, but without veering into how most people have seen and experienced the city. I wanted the narrative to honor both the sentiment of the song - what it feels like to experience the highs and lows of Mardi Gras and New Orleans' culture." You can watch the intriguing "Street Parade" video where it premiered with BlackBook Magazine or here.
" …Ms. Andersson meshes her voice, violin, guitar, keyboards and percussion into whirligigs of harmony and syncopation." - The New York Times

Swedish born, New Orleans based soul singer Theresa Andersson released her critically acclaimed sophomore album, Street Parade, April 24th on Basin Street Records. Receiving acclaim from The New York Times, & USA Today to SPIN & Offbeat, the record is a lush, joyful and sometimes melancholy ode to they city she has called "home" for nearly 20 years. The record opens with title track "Street Parade," testifying to the catharsis and impermanence of the carnival. Street
Parade reflects a dreamy Nordic pop sensibility firmly rooted and influenced by the warm gospel and soul sounds that drew the artist to New Orleans in the first place.
A stunning vocalist and a talented multi-instrumentalist, Theresa is best known for her live shows, where she crafts complexly layered songs using a bevy of drums, stringed instruments and looping pedals. Currently on a national US tour and joined by Lucius on the east coast dates, she will give a special hometown performance at Bon Appetit's Grub Crawl in New Orleans, June 23 at The Joy Theater.
